Hello again! It’s time for Week 4 of the “In and Out” Quilt Along!
In this assignment, we are going to start forming the blocks for our In and Out quilt.
This is when the process gets exciting because you get to see the blocks come together.
So let’s get started!
Constructing the Block
Sew the half square triangles to the 4 1/2″ background and pastel squares as shown. Choose colors for your rows randomly.
Row 1 – Randomly select 2 half-square triangles and one 4 1/2″ background square. Sew together as shown.
Make 48 Row 1 units.
Press seams toward the pastel fabric. Press inner seams inward to create flat seams.
Row 2 -Randomly select 1 4 1/2″ pastel unit and two 4 1/2″ background units. Sew together as shown.
Make 24 Row 2 units
Press seams toward the pastel fabric.
4. Sew two Row 1 units and one Row 2 unit together as shown to form the 12 1/2″ block.
Make 24 block.
Press long seams upward, away from you.
Your blocks will finish to be 12 1/2 inches.
