LODGING
Check-in on your first day of Camp is at Noon.

The Crooked River Lodge
Make yourself at home in one of the beautiful Lodge guestrooms. Rooms have private balconies. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Housekeeping services are provided daily.

- During your stay, the Lodge is open to Quilt Campers only. No other guests will be staying at the Lodge during Camp. No visitors are allowed into the facility while we are there.
MEALS
All meals are catered by Staffords, who are known for their delicious meals at all of their northern Michigan hotel locations.
QUILT DEMONSTRATIONS
While attending the Camp, I will be demonstrating some great quilting products. You will be able to purchase these items on site at The Camp Store at a 10% discount.
SEWING STATION ACCOMMODATIONS
While at the retreat, you will work on your own projects. You will have lots of solid time to quilt with very few interruptions so bring plenty of projects to work on!
- The sewing space will be available to use 24 hours a day! The Lodge provides tables, chairs, lamps, and electrical hook-ups.
- We will provide cutting and ironing stations. You may wish to bring an extra source of light just in case what is provided is not enough.
- Chairs will be provided. However, if you have a special sewing chair you travel with, you are welcome to bring it with you.
- Make sure to bring your favorite cutting/sewing tools along with your sewing machine and of course, many fun projects to keep you happy!
- PLEASE DO NOT BRING EXTRA TABLES. Due to limited space, you will not be able to bring additional sewing tables. We need to have plenty of space for quilters to walk through in the sewing areas. Thank you for understanding!
- We ask you to refrain from playing music or watching tv or videos with the sound on when you are in the sewing area.
MYSTERY QUILT
We will have a mystery quilt available if you would like to participate. Information about the mystery quilt will be sent to you one month in advance of Camp along with your camp instructions.
MASSAGES
We have two massage therapists who will be at the camp. Sign-up sheets will be available when you arrive along with pricing of the services.
SHOW AND TELL
There will be a “Show/Tell” on the last night of your stay. We share the projects we have been working on at camp. We look forward to seeing all the progress you are making on your projects!

Batting Heirloom Premium Black Cotton Blend 90in x 108in
Heirloom Premium 80/20 Black Cotton Blend is highly recommended for quilt tops created in black, navy or other dark colors. It is made using dyed cotton fibers to provide quilters with a batting that will not create light fiber lint on the quilt top during the quilting process.
This product is manufactured in the same manner as our Premium 80/20 in the natural cotton. This batting is made with 80% dyed cotton and 20% polyester. It is lightly needle punched and resin bonded to provide exceptional strength and durability.
Black Cotton Blend is wonderful to quilt by hand or machine. Close quilting yields a flat low loft appearance while more space between stitching lines yields a slightly higher loft. You may experience shrinkage of 3-5% and it may be quilted up to 4in apart.
We recommend that the quilt maker spend some time learning about this product before using it on a major project. Make samples using this batting to see how it launders and how it needles, both by hand and by machine, so that you can obtain the look you want in your final project.
